Gil received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from UPC in 2015, including a research stay at the University of Florida. He held a postdoctoral position at KU Leuven, developing predictive simulations for human–exoskeleton interaction using optimal control methods. In 2016 he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UPC, becoming Associate Professor in 2021. His research focuses on biomechanical modeling, efficient motion analysis, and predictive simulations.
